Community Chaplain's Handbook Released Through Years of Experience

As a community chaplain, would you really be comfortable helping someone considering a life and death decision? How about the stress of blended families? Knowing when to present the life-changing Good News of Jesus Christ can be a sensitive matter. Do you know how to gain permission to share effectively? Having faced these, and many other issues found in chaplaincy ministry, the authors have compiled the most comprehensive body of work on this subject to date. Within the pages of this 512 page, $99.99 softcover text, published in 2006, the process-managed approach to chaplaincy has been distilled into principles and practices you can quickly put to use serving people. This text explores the basics of community chaplaincy, covers in depth the practical matters of ministry in the community, and allows application of the fundamentals of effective service and evangelism through case studies and discussion questions. Pertinent topics include confidentiality, addictions, suicide, legal matters, relationship issues, and many more. Our purpose in creating this text is to contribute to the expansion of the chaplaincy movement, not only in the U.S. but throughout the world. Keep this book on hand as a reference for the many opportunities of ministry that you face each day as you claim your community for Christ.
